The Sufi Will Among the Ingush
Abstract. Based on a corpus of handwritten and printed wills in Ingush and Arabic, the article examines issues of spiritual inheritance in contemporary Ingush society. Special attention is paid to the coexistence of secular and Muslim legal practices of inheritance, as well as the differences between the Qadiriyya and Naqshbandiyya tariqats on this issue. A translation of a will used as a model by the followers of the Qadiriyya tariqa is given.
