 Rethinking Losses of Chinese Poetic Heritage: a Case of Former Han Fu Poetry

 Abstract. The present article concerns the bibliographical treatise Yi wen zhi (“藝文志”, “Treatise on Arts”) composed by the great historian Ban Gu (班固, AD 32—92) in terms of revision of the textual gaps which exist today regarding the genesis and the initial stage of formation of the famous Chinese fu (賦, “rhapsodies”) poetry.
